Ficus Elastica Abidjan

This Ficus has wonderfully burnished looking large leaves . and we really love its unusual looks! This Rubber plant is really stunning with its bronzed leaves with tones of burgundy . a very interesting houseplant that looks super in any room . but particularly in a space where it can be a stylish feature. 

Ficus Abidjan is from a large family of Ficus plants . all of them from tropical rainforests originally.  Like the others . it loves bright but indirect light and humidity - just like the conditions in its natural habitat.

Ficus Abidjan care level

This plant is suitable for beginners.

Where should I put it?

You need a bright spot . as with the other Ficus plants . but out of the direct sun.  The leaves are sensitive to the sun and may curl up or burn in full sun.

How should I water it?

Rainforest plants need to be watered when the top couple of inches of soil dries out . then soaked through and allowed to drain fully.

Should I feed it?

You can feed once a month during the spring and summer months - try our vegan . organic plant food! 

Is it suitable if I have pets?

Unfortunately . this plant can be toxic to pets if eaten.

What size is it?

W27cm x 90cm.
